Kraus Family Addition & Pool House

Campton Hills, Illinois

When the Kraus family first sought our services in 2004, they were looking to rejuvenate the front facade of their family residence as well as add a small suite for their parents, who were looking to relocate to their large, serene wooded lot.  The expansion creates an entire apartment featuring a master bedroom, living room, kitchenette, master bath, and laundry room. A new front porch helps to seamlessly tie the addition into the existing home with a new warm brick chosen to replace the dated existing masonry veneer.  Because of the success of our first project together, they would go on to task us with the design and construction oversight of a master plan for their new backyard hardscape featuring an in-ground pool and a detached three-season screened-in pool house.  The pool house features a wet bar, bathroom, and ample space for entertaining poolside.  Its architectural details set it apart from a simple shed, and white columns and mullions help tie it into the design of the adjacent house.
