Lisa is the founder and principal of Sharp Architects, Inc. She opened the office in 2008 to bring client-oriented architectural design to the local community of DeKalb, IL as well as the greater Chicago metropolitan area. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in the industry, and a wealth of knowledge about design and construction. Lisa has been a Registered Architect in Illinois since 1996.

She enjoys tackling projects from start to finish, helping clients define their goals, and pulling together all the little details required to achieve the client’s objectives. Her hope is to design projects in a clever and elegant manner that still fits the budget. With a family background in healthcare she has tackled many medical projects including community health centers, ambulatory surgery centers and cancer centers. Her interest in historic architecture has also led to a strong portfolio in restoration and adaptive re-use projects.

Lisa and her husband Tony are now empty-nesters who continue to peck away at all the improvements and maintenance necessary for a home built in the 1890’s, working on the yard, and grilling for friends. The kids are now in Texas and Hawaii respectively so frequent trips to both locations are planned.
